Please help me translate "He started to regain his vision"

I tried freetranslation but it doesnt seem right to me. Here is what i got.

él comenzó a recobrar su visión.

Is there a word i can replace with "Recobrar"?

Note: You need to put an accent above the "e" in el, and in the "o" in empezo. I’m sorry, I have a QWERTY keyboard and these types don’t have the accents :(
