“du” and “de la” … “du” and “de la” can also mean “some” when pairing it with a liquid or any collective noun (any liquid, or mud, sand, etc).
Thus, instead of saying “des thes”, which would be the equivalent of saying “some teas” in english (and thus not correct), you would say “du the” (some tea).
Or du lait, de l’eau, du pain (you wouldn’t normally say “some breads”, right?)
Pas toujours. Dans … Pas toujours. Dans quelques regions du Quebec, on prononce les “r” juste comme en France (uvulaire) – en fait, la plupart des quebecois plus jeunes utilisent le “r” uvulaire
But you chose … But you chose third-group verbs (“boire”, “prendre”, “lire”…), and this group isn’t the easiest one!
It’s better to begin with first group verbs conjugations…
But when we say that in a sentence, we always use “du” when it follows a verb. For instance :
Je mange DU pain (I’m eating bread)
Je bois DU lait (I’m drinking milk)
You see ?

Can you please … Can you please explain why tea is ‘du the’ and not just ‘le the’ ?…is this saying I drink ‘of the tea’ or ‘from the tea’, that’s a bit strange!
Thanks in advance

You don’t have to … You don’t have to be able to conjugate all the verbs to speak French…just cheat and say “Je vais moudre le sel”…voila….I’m going to grind the salt….or better yet “Je viens de moudre le sel.” I just ground the salt.
Good luck to all … Good luck to all people who want to learn French.
French conjugaison is so hard, many verbs like moudre, coudre are impossible to conjugate in some tenses.
God bless you dude, you really do it well
=)
J’ai pensé que la … J’ai pensé que la conjugaison correcte était “L’Espagnol est facile et je l’ai apprise très rapide”
