Hi, I’m in the process of planning a very prestigious and inspiring event at my university. I am the process of finding speakers for the event.
How could I go about seeing if Michelle Obama would be able to speak at this event? Is there some protocol I must follow? Any tips?

I want to teach atleast a word to speak to my labrador,where will i start from,how long it took,or i can’t do it?
I’m a little confused by your question. DO you mean that you want your Lab to understand English Commands? I assume that you therefore have not been using English around him/her?
You could teach him to "sit" in English in 30 minutes if you use the reward method of training. Tell him or her to "SIT." When he/she does the action you want, give them a treat. You could SHOW them the action by pushing down on their rear end the first few times and giving a treat as you do that. THen keep saying: "SIT" and when they finally do it by themselves, give a treat. Keep doing that until they get it. Labs are really bright–they’ll get it pretty quickly if you are consistent. Don’t give a treat if they don’t do the action (that will just confuse them about what you want them to do).
If you want to do other commands, then use the same method.
Now, owners are not sometimes as bright as we’d like to be… if you’re trying to get your lab to SPEAK English, well, then that’s a whole different matter.

I work for a non-profit that offers housing for homeless families. It has an application process that requires an interview with the case manager. She doesn’t speak spanish, so when spanish speaking clients inquire about their status in the program, she claims that she can’t help them. I’m bilingual and have offered to assist, but she insists that it wasn’t necessary. I’ve asked if she’s considered hiring a transilator and again she insists that it was not necessary. It just doesn’t seem right that they deny people services because of a language barrier.
Whether it’s legal depends on the laws of your state. Whether it’s efficient is another matter. Why don’t YOU prepare a sign in Spanish advising clients that no translations are available and applicants must bring someone who speaks Spanish with them.
