Good free English to Tagalog online translator?

Is there a good free online computer translator to translate from English to Tagalog, and from Tagalog to English? I have two very good college friends who speak English but their parents’ English is a little shaky, and I wanted to email the parents (whom I have had many interactions with) short notes in Tagalog so they could better understand. Thanks!

sad to say, i tried testing english-tagalog computer translators and they weren’t good enough. they don’t give sense at all. most translations are very misleading and will only result to more confusion. i think it would be best for your two filipino college friends or an online filipino buddy to translate it for you . or just write to them in english. most (if not all) filipinos were taught with english from kindergarten to college so it’s very hard to think that they can’t understand short notes written in english.

Do you know of a good online English to Portuguese translator?

I am communicating with a girl who is from Brazil, and she is speaking in English, but it’s very bad English, so I’m assuming she is using a bad online translator, possibly Google’s. Do you know of a good English to Portuguese translator that is almost 100% accurate? That way I can speak to her in Portuguese, and it will be easier for us to understand each other.

Hi Alex, I am Brazilian and translater and I need to tell you. Any online translator can’t make the work a translator person. They don’t have feelings. They are dictionaries. I heard it at college and I needed to agree about. For example if you tell a Brazilian I can get on right now in Portuguese it would sound very strange. We get into the internet or we use the computer. Every online translator would translate exactly what you said. Once I tried to translate "You can watch on YouTube" to Italian and the translator said to the Italian You can there is a clock inside of a tube. Conclusion, the Italian didn’t understand what watch/clock I was talking about. But I know a good one it is www.dictionary.com Any serious problem about comprehension just e-mail me. Good luck with your friend :-)

Is there a reliable online translator from English to Spanish for business correspondence?

I need to write a letter to a potential client, but he speaks Spanish much better than English. I’m afraid that may be why he didn’t purchase what I’m offering to begin with- he may not have understood everything I was offering. I have Spanish materials to send him, but I really want to write a letter to go with it. I’m afraid of using an online translator for fear that it will be choppy and come out badly. Any advice?

Just use an offline translation service or a good dictionary, like you said, ALL the online "translators" (I wouldn’t even call them translators!) are utter RUBBISH.

Is there an easy way to make an online translator?

Is there some application out there which lets you create a translator if you know the grammar, vocabulary and structuring of a language? I’ve created a language and I think it’d be fun to have a translator, but I’m not anything of a programmer.

Yea, there is pretty much no translator application out there for free! I have a site with Heritage Web Solutions and they programmed a translator for my site. They might be able to help you out.

Good Luck

Can someone give me a good online translator?

Could someone please find an online translator that is: accurate/professional, and free.

I’ve tried a few, and the best one that works for me and is accurate 90% of the time is Google Translator. This is the one I use and I find it pretty reliable. However, I am sure there are others out there.

Does anyone have any good online translator horror stories?

Any good examples of situations where someone such as a coworker had relied on an online translator and ended up sending something really stupid out to customers?

My Spanish teacher was in Mexico and was trying to say that somebody’s baby was cute but she ended up saying that the baby was a monkey. Luckily the people understood what she was trying to say.

Also, my friend was trying to say that she couldn’t heard what a coworker was saying but it translated into "I’m not listening to you."
